Xylon is offering automotive designers IP cores, software support and a complete hardware development platform for integration of the Surround View DA in Xilinx® FPGA silicon products.

The programmable Xilinx FPGAs offer great flexibility and allow for product differentiation at the hardware level. Concurrent parallel hardware processing enables high computing performances which may surpass the competing silicon products.

Silicon scalability among one or several FPGA families assures system cost reductions and significantly reduces design risks.

2^nd Generation Xylon's Surround View DA Development Platform

For Surround View DA implementations, Xylon currently recommends the cost-effective Xilinx Spartan®-6 or Xilinx Automotive (XA) Spartan-6 FPGAs. The Spartan-6 chips can be used as System on Chip (SoC) solutions leveraging Xilinx MicroBlaze™ soft-CPU, or as peripheral chips controlled by an external processor.

Xylon offers complete FPGA based solution for second generation Surround View Systems!

Xilinx has announced the 7 Series FPGAs and a new class of product – Zynq™-7000 Extensible Processing Platform (EPP). The Zynq-7000 EPP products combine an industry-standard ARM® dual-core Cortex™-A9 MPCore™ processing system with hard-core peripherals and the programmable logic implemented with Xilinx unified 28nm architecture.

Xylon will adapt the company’s Surround View DA solutions to the Xilinx 7 Series FPGAs and Zynq-7000 EPP and enable the development of the next generation SoC automotive products which will fuse different automotive applications, i.e. the surround view and pedestrian recognition, allow for the development of new algorithms and an unprecedented flexibility at the hardware level.
