> logiTAP

The logiTAP Development Kit based on Xilinx Spartan-3E offers a complete design framework for embedded designers developing GUI applications. This hardware platform is packed into a single Plexiglas casing comprising the Xylon logiCRAFT3 board and a high resolution color LCD touch display.

The kit combines the Xilinx FPGA with the Xylon logiCRAFT3 display development platform and the logicBRICKSTM IP cores library. It works with several third-party graphics software development tools allowing for a full set of graphics rendering features.

The logiTAP itself makes an excellent example of a powerful GUI embedded system utilizing low-cost hardware. The Kit comes preloaded with several GUI demo applications that fully demonstrate the logiTAP capabilities. All demo applications can be navigated and controlled by an integrated touch display.

The logiTAP includes an FPGA reference design that is based on the Xilinx MicroBlazeTM soft-CPU acting as a microcontroller (MCU) controlling all system functions, and Xylon logicBRICKSTM IP cores controlling advanced system's graphics features.

The logiCRAFT3 is the latest Xylon’s small-factor and field-configurable platform based on the logiCRAFT2 platform. It is designed to support a wide variety of audio and video sources and handle a variety of display types including today popular COG displays. The logiCRAFT3 integrates several standard communication interfaces enabling an easy programming and control, as well as a smooth integration into larger systems.

The logiCRAFT3 platform is primarily aimed at the automotive market, including applications such as navigation, infotainment, rear-seat entertainment (RSE), and driver assistance. Other multimedia applications are equally applicable, such as consumer, medical, and measurement instrumentation or factory automation applications.

The platform is available in several HW configurations sharing a common features set.

Powered by the Spartan-3 device, the logiCRAFT2 Multimedia and Infotainment Evaluation/Development Platform is an excellent system development vehicle designed to fulfill developers’ needs in various fields of application.

The platform offers various Video/Audio interfaces, as well as a plethora of industry standard networking interfaces. Unique features are simultaneous driving of multiple LCD displays, and support for networks used in automotive applications. The logiCRAFT2 comes with preloaded FPGA demo design built of logicBRICKS™ and Xilinx IP cores. Third party providers' IP cores can be included as well.
The evaluation FPGA design built of logicBRICKS™ evaluation cores can be freely reused in custom developments, or the board can be used as a superior base for developing from scratch.
