Xylon at CES 2023

Meet Xylon at CES 2023, the most influential tech event in the world, in Las Vegas, Nevada, January 5-8, 2023.

We’ll have two teams there at different booths so make sure to join us:

  • AMD-Xilinx’s booth, the Venetian, Titian
  • Cognata’s booth, LVCC – West Hall, #5367

If you’ve ever wondered how a single piece of silicon chip can change its features set without stopping for a single clock beat, come to AMD-Xilinx’s booth at CES to see Xylon’s latest demonstration.

Xylon has mastered AMD-Xilinx’s Dynamic Function eXchange (DFX) technology in-house. DFX technology enables features swapping by reconfiguring parts of a continually operating programmable FPGA/SoC chip. It brings chip reconfigurability to a whole new level – less programmable resources needed, more flexibility added, lower power, and finally, less cost per chip.

To demonstrate that OEMs and Tier suppliers can enjoy all the benefits at the same time, Xylon has combined two automotive applications that use the available silicon depending on the driving mode.
During parking maneuvers, the demo SoC design that runs on AMD-Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC implements hardware accelerators required by 3D surround view parking assistance ADAS. When parking is not needed, the same chip is loaded by neural networks for computer vision driver monitoring.

The new automotive demo runs as an upgrade of Xylon’s complete design framework that helps designers master the DFX technology. In addition to DFX, the framework demonstrates a complete Isolation Design Flow (IDF) for development of fail-safe chip solutions that confine the fault to a single chip region – a feature of extreme importance for security- or safety-critical designs.

Come to Cognata’s booth, where we’ll be presenting a cost-effectivereal-time HIL photorealistic solution to accelerate 1.3B USD ADAS & AV HIL market.
The all-in-one logiRECORDER Automotive HIL Video Logger by Xylon uses Cognata’s real-time photorealistic simulation platform to provide a cost-effective solution for ADAS and AV validation and verification tests.

Cognata provides its real-time photorealistic sensor simulation HIL – hardware-in-the-loop platform. The platform offers 3D digital twin environments with real-life traffic agents as moving, interactive objects. The simulation connects directly to Xylon’s logiRECORDER, removing the hassle of complex hardware boxes and improving the signal quality compared to past generations.

Xylon’s logiRECORDER improves and accelerates the design and testing of cutting-edge Autonomous Driving (AD) and ADAS Systems with an all-in-one automotive data logger for raw multi-channel video and network data recording, data analysis, and playback of the logged data in HIL simulations.
In the HIL operation mode, the logiRECORDER enables real-time conversions of synthetic data from multiple and heterogenous vehicle sensors modeled within Cognata’s simulation platform, including video cameras, LIDARs, RADARs, Thermal cameras, and more, into physical automotive sensory inputs to hardware Electronic Control Units (ECUs). In closed-loop HIL, physical ECU outputs can be converted into simulation inputs that interactively influence the simulated scenarios.
