Xylon logicBRICKS IP cores for Automotive Four-Camera Surround View Driver Assistance System

The logiVIEW-SVK Surround View DA Development Platform enables automotive designers to quickly start their new Surround View DA design. The toolset includes the reference FPGA design with evaluation logicBRICKS IP cores, calibration and application software, as well as full documentation.

The hardware platform includes the Xilinx® Spartan®-6 FPGA SP605 Evaluation Kit with Xylon's add-on FMC board supporting camera connections, four OmniVision camera imagers and Sunex extreme FOV lenses.

The Xilinx FPGA SP605 Evaluation Kit includes an industry-standard FMC (FPGA Mezzanine Card) connector to enable expansions and customizations for specific applications. Xylon has designed the logiFMC-FPD-II 4-Channel FPD-Link II FMC daughter card for use in video development systems which require up to 4 camera connections. The supported camera interface is the National Semiconductor® FPD-Link II (Flat Panel Display Link). Xylon also provides off-the-shelf National FPD-Link III compatible logiFMC-FPD-III-C 5-Channel FPD-Link III + 1-Channel CVBS FMC daughter card, which is not a part of the logiVIEW-SVK kit.

Hardware Platform provided as the part of Xylon's Surround View DAS Development Toolset

The logiVIEW-SVK hardware platform also includes four OmniVision OV09715 1-megapixel camera sensors with an active array size of 1280x800 that are specifically designed for advanced imaging applications. The camera sensors are connected to the National FPD-Link II serializer boards to enable LVDS cable connection with the Xylon FMC daughter card.

The OmniVision camera heads are furnished with DSL216 miniature SuperFisheye lenses from Sunex. This lens provides a SuperFisheye FOV of 187^o and is designed specifically for automotive and security cameras requiring durability, compact size and high image quality.

Upon request, Xylon can provide the Surround View DA Development Platform based on company's logiCRAFT-CC FPGA Companion Chip Platform. The logiCRAFT-CC is a more powerful hardware platform that can support different Surround View DA upgrades.
